Business Objects (BOBJ) Developer
Purpose
Responsible for architecting, designing and implementing Business Objects (BOBJ) analytical business reporting solutions. This role is a hands-on technical contributor and subject matter expert on data warehouse and analytical reporting solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Work closely with business users to design and extend functionality within BOBJ.
• Work closely with business users to design, develop, test and implement input schedules, reports and custom interfaces.
• Work on complex reporting requirements and interface BOBJ and BI applications to design end-to-end reporting solutions.
• Assist in troubleshooting technical and functional issues, work closely with end-users and technical support to resolve issues.
• Write and/or review documentation/user guides/training material as required.
Education/Experience Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent.
• 8+ years of application/database development experience.
• 5+ years experience in a senior technical role focusing on data warehousing, data architecture and business analytics development.
• Proven track-record in leading the development of large-volume analytical reporting solutions.
• Broad BOBJ experience including BusinessObjects Enterprise platform, Crystal, WebI, XCelsius, BEx, and Voyager.
• Complete understanding of BOBJ design and architecture.
• 3+ years experience in the area of BOBJ application design, development, administration and maintenance.
• Thorough understanding of SAP BOBJ functionality and experience with BOBJ implementation and roll-outs.
• Full software development lifecycle experience is a must.
• Ability to design and develop reports and custom interfaces.
• Experience designing application set, application, dimensions, properties, loading data.
• Ability to work on complex reporting requirements and interface BOBJ applications to design end-to-end reporting solutions.
• A clear understanding of change control/project management.
