Position Description- Techno-Functional BSA:
- Conduct in-depth review and analysis of business systems and processes and be responsible for the delivery of new or modified SAP solutions as well as the support of existing technology.
- Conduct analysis of business unit processes, SAP processes, and support requests.
- Propose solutions, prepare essential groundwork, identify potential risks and issues, implement solutions, and provide the necessary user training and follow-up support.
- Participate in quality assurance by leading the testing effort and ensuring that issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a designated expert in specified SAP modules used by the business.
- Research solutions to SAP configuration or operational issues for current and/or future projects
- Configure complex programs by utilizing applicable languages and processes in a batch/on-line environment.
- Utilizes test plans and tools to ensure programs are thoroughly tested before they are installed.
- Responsible for complex problem analysis including: determining the cause, possible solutions, and implementation and communication of the final solution and determine appropriate technologies to solve business and system problems.
- Create and organize documentation on best practices, business procedures, reporting, SAP configuration and master data maintenance
- Participate in systems requirements definition, testing, training, implementation, and support
- Solicit client requirements through interviews, workshops, and/or existing system documentation or procedures
- Promote knowledge transfer on SAP usage and configuration techniques
- Use industry standard analysis techniques to uncover client requirements such as data flow modeling, use-case analysis, workflow analysis, functional decomposition analysis, and business process mapping
- Document the results of analysis activities using the appropriate templates or analysis tools
- Identify customer requirements, develop test schedules, design and review testing plans, and track and document development / results
- Identify areas of potential business or project risk and communicate these to the Project Manager or Team Leader
- Gather and document end-user requirements and configure SAP modules in support.
- Write project and technical documentation (SOW, Project Plan, System Requirements Specification, Functional Specification, Test Plan)
- Document/Design business processes utilizing ARIS and Solution Manager
- Production Support Activities: Ensure and support business processes and systems are available for business functions.
- Train on SAP transaction processing and reporting capabilities.
- Communicate both orally and written project status to business and IT process owners
- Responsible for the coordination of technical resources necessary to implement solutions for complex business requirements.
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field
• SAP Basis skills and experience
• Project management competencies including formal project management training
• Knowledge of standard SAP ABAP, BW, and BOBJ reports
• Five to Seven years of professional experience within Information Systems
• Experience in SAP MM,FICO,SD, IS-OIL, and OGSD modules
• Experience with ECC 6
• Strong SAP technical and design skills.
• Industry experience in Oil and Gas
• Experience with the following tools (RWD, HP quality center, TAO, ARIS)
Desired
• Exposure to SAP Basis technology
• Appropriate SAP certifications
• Experience with DTN, Platts, OPIS, Digital Oilfield, Oildex, Esker, or Docklink
• Knowledge in Business Process Management (BPM)
Business Systems Analyst
Ideal candidate profile includes --
• Demonstrated experience in implementing SAP (or other major ERP projects) at global, multi-site organizations including detailed experience in SAP module configuration, and business process reengineering
• Demonstrated experience in two or more SAP functional modules and the related business processes
Must be deadline and project-oriented with strong interpersonal, organizational, written and oral communication skills, in addition to having the ability to multi-task
• Strong understanding of Accounting concepts particularly those used to consolidate accounts and perform financial forecasts.
• Has some experience with program documentation; report, screen, and form design; Principles of organization and management and work simplification and modification.• Must have extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of program methodologies and tools.
