Our direct client in Montvale, NJ seeks a sharp, energetic business analyst to work on a critical project involving HR database systems.
In this role, you will work on a project involving global HR data, helping define business rules and do some data analysis, extract data to test the business rules, and develop functional and technical specifications.
We seek an articulate, energetic Business Analyst with strong hands-on SQL skills, for this critical role.
Interested candidates should be articulate and have excellent interpersonal and written skills, and should be able to show examples of their BA work, i.e. use cases, functional or technical requirements, etc. as evidence of their past work.
This is a 3-month project initially, with immediate interview and start. It is highly likely that the successful candidate will be extended for a longer duration, potentially through the rest of 2010.

Responsibilities:

The incumbent will be required to support the team in creating
business requirements and the translation of business requirements to
functional and technical specifications

Will be required to facilitate meetings with business experts, and
establish/document overall data governance policies and procedures.

Will be required to conduct data quality audits, develop data
validation procedures, research and analyze data and assist in creating business
rules and processes for improving data quality

Will be required to multitask and take on additional roles above
and beyond the Business Analyst role as required by Program deliverables

Will
be required to lead and support business process and document workshop sessions
·
Will be required to critically evaluate information gathered from
multiple member firms, reconcile conflicts, decompose and capture information

Will
be required to partner with process owners to identify and communicate
technical solutions

Ability to document, organize and present results in presentations
and various other artifacts
Required Skills:

8-10 years of professional work experience as business analyst in
large scale systems implementation
·
Excellent English verbal and written communication skills with the
ability to interact professionally with various levels of management.

Strong facilitation skills to lead discussions and manage meetings
·
Exceptional cross-organization collaboration and interpersonal communication
skills.
·
Advanced analytical skills and problem solving/trouble shooting
skills
·
Five years of relational database experience. Complex SQL
Querying/analyzing skills
·
Advanced Excel Capabilities
·
Strong technical and financial background with capabilities
ranging from simple data analysis, statistical analysis to complex data mining.

Experience with data governance concepts, policies, procedures and
data quality assessment
·
Capability
to design, develop, implement and maintain business solutions
·
Excellent
understanding of HR business practices and how they relate to and are
incorporated into HR systems
