Job Description:

Our direct client, a growing international bank, seeks a strong individual on a contract, possibly contract-to-hire basis, to perform front-office support of Foreign Exchange applications.  Immediate interview and hire.  

JOB DESCRIPTION

Front-Office Support

In this role, you will work with a team specialized in the onboarding of FIX clients.  Some exposure to the FIX engine is highly desired, but our client will train a candidate with related experience.  

Role/Team Summary

  • Staff New York FXAM (Foreign Exchange Applications Management) desk
  • Support a suite of global trading applications
  • Work closely with Client Services desk diagnosing customer problems. Includes dealing with issues in regard to digital certificates, browser versions, proxy and firewall issues; Java logs
  • Work closely with global application development teams in International offices
  • Rota'd shift support required (7am – 7pm Eastern Time)
  • Coordinate and liaise with local hel desk and international application development teams to report on and resolve production application issues

 

Deliverables

  • Provide support for the FX Global E-commerce & Trading platforms.  Appropriate access to check various services and database logs to assist application teams will be provided.  Objective is to reduce the frequency of support calls to international staff and thus improve service to external New York customer base and Front Office.
  • Improve turnaround time of problem resolution
  • Maintain regional ownership of issues and follow through to resolution

 

Essential Experience

  • 1+ years of Front Office support, preferably foreign exchange

 

Technical knowledge

  • 2+ years of Windows applications support
  • Good degree in the sciences

 

Supplementary Experience

  • Knowledge of FX in a trading room environment
  • Investment banking experience
  • ECommerce/Web development
  • C# / .Net / Java / Unix / SQL
  • FIX protocol
  • Real time trading system support
  • Spanish speaking
