Description: The DW/BI Information System Engineer is primarily responsible for the firm's core Data Warehouse, Analytics and Reporting Solution Patterns and Infrastructure.
Areas of Responsibility & Deliverables:
Solution Architecture and Engineering
§ Logical and Physical architectures for Data Warehouse Analytics + Business Intelligence and Reporting Infrastructure
§ Solution Architecture for major programs that utilize Information Infrastructure
Technology Planning
§ Reference Architecture and Roadmap for Date Warehouse, Analytics, Business Intelligence and Reporting technologies
§ Partner with core technology vendors on product strategies and their impact on the corporate IS landscape
Innovation and Governance
§ Identify & Pilot new emerging information capabilities that will drive significant business value
§ Oversee technical design and development of information technologies that are a part of major programs
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
§ Deep knowledge of software development and application architecture
§ Deep knowledge of date warehousing architecture and design
§ Deep knowledge of business intelligence architecture and design
§ Deep knowledge of information architecture and design
§ Deep knowledge of software design and application development methodologies
§ Demonstrated understanding of value drivers behind the current IS Strategy, in particular the SAP Roadmap and integrated process, systems and data agenda.
Fosters a climate of continuous improvement, both identifying issues and owning solutions.
§ Deep understanding of project and process design methodology and tools. Structured business analysis skills (preferably SSADM) and experienced in the application of process oriented design methods
§ Data modelling and best practice data design capabilities

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:
MINIMUM: BS in Computer Science, Engineering or related field and 10 years progressive relevant experience
DESIRABLE: Masters in Computer Science with emphasis on Architecture or Systems Engineering or related field and 5-10 years relevant architecture experience
